Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

This VEAT notice is for the award of a 12 month contract to Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) for the provision of an Integrated Mental Health Team within the Constabulary Force Control Room. The justification for the award of a 12 month contract extension is the continued access to the RiO case management system which is restricted to CPFT staff only and to move away from this system would mean losing a lot of historical data. The CPFT have indicated they would have to seek the permission of each and every client to provide their personal data — many of the people the provider work with may not have the ability to give such permission. Therefore another provider would be unable to access the information the officers and staff need to make informed decisions about the care of someone in crisis. This is the crux of the service.
