Abstract

The purpose of this tender process is to procure a specialist consultant to develop an individual Town Centre Strategy for each of Blaenau Gwent’s 5 town centres – Abertillery, Blaina, Brynmawr, Ebbw Vale and Tredegar. The strategy should be an economic development focussed document which sets out an approach to supporting enterprise, attracting investment and creating sustainable community hubs within each town centre. The project is funded by Welsh Government and therefore the project would need to be completed within 6 weeks of appointment (or 30th March 2017)

2.4 Total quantity or scope of tender

This project is to complete a town centre strategy for the 5 towns within Blaenau Gwent, namely - Abertillery, Blaina, Brynmawr, Ebbw Vale and Tredegar. Due to this project being funded via Welsh Government the project needs to be completed by end of March 2017.

The project key milestones being - 10th February 2017 being the appointment of the successful tenderer with the 1st draft deliverables being 17th March 2017 and the review meeting and sign off being 30th March 2017

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1 Minimum standards and qualification required

Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council is administering this procurement opportunity electronically via the Etenderwales portal.

All documentation has been uploaded to enable direct access following registration.
