II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Winchester City Council (the 'Council') is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced organization to provide civil and structural engineering design and ancillary services (including geotechnical and flood risk engineering design) for a new sport and leisure facility in Winchester.
The sport and leisure facility has an estimated construction value of circa £30m and forms part of a wider sports park. It will include (subject always to feasibility and financial viability) a 50m swimming pool together with ancillary wet and dry facilities.
The proposed facility is situated on a greenfield site on the edge of the City of Winchester adjacent to residential areas and the M3 motorway near the South Downs. There is another procurement exercise for architectural design services.
