Justification for selected award procedure:
The procurement falls outside the scope of application of the Directive
Explanation:
By undertaking an extension this will provide an opportunity to undertake a robust procurement process and full service review and consultation. It will also provide an opportunity to develop the market ensuring a range of competitive tenders from a variety of providers.
The Contracting Authority awarded a contract to the Contractor in 2015 for services more particularly described in contract notice 2015/5 202 366801. The contract was let for 2 years plus 2 optional extensions of 12 months with a contract value of 10 426 403,00 GBP. The Contracting Authority intends to modify the contract by extension on its existing terms for 2 years in accordance with the provisions of regulation 72(b)(ii) Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The conditions set out in regulations 72(c)(i), 72(c)(ii) and 72(c)(iii) apply. The total contract value as extended will be 14 608 463,00 GBP.
