II.2.4) Description of the procurement
To provide cleaning services to Balshaw's Church of England High School, based in Leyland, Lancashire. The school is a mixed voluntary controlled Church of England state secondary school founded in 1782 by Richard Balshaw. The school is located in Leyland, Lancashire with 922, 11-16-year-old, students currently on roll and circa 60 teaching staff and 40 non-teaching staff.
Key objectives in tendering the contract are:
— all cleaning managed by one team,
— consistent high standards of cleaning with minimal impact on school operational management,
— regular deep clean schedules to ensure medium and long-term standards are maintained,
— supportive local management of the contract,
— to provide the school with a cost effective, value for money service,
— continued development of the cleaning operatives ensuring that they are adequately trained to supply quality services in a safe and effective manner,
— to contribute to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all students.
