There are approximately 420 children aged 5-11 years split over 2 sites: the primary school is located on the main site and the nursery on the second site.
Following a building extension in 2006, the overall design re-used an existing 125-year Victorian school by giving it a new lease of life by adding a new 4-storey extension joined to the existing school with a glazed link building, providing access at each level. The ground floor of the new building is glazed and 3 stories above are each marked by 6 bands of coloured glazing. The new building was nominated for the RIBA Stirling Prize and came second.
