Abstract

The works will involve the installation of a Type ii structural liner within the 1000mm diameter stone masonry barrel pipe and localised repair’s to the stone masonry barrel to enable relining works between chainage 167.8m ( Junction of lady Tyler Terrace / B4557) to 237.0m ( Lawns Industrial Estate ) as shown on drawing SO1010/002. Total length of works will be approximately 70.0m. The Contractor shall comply with the general recommendations set out in WRc Sewer Rehabilitation Manual, Fourth Edition Volume 2 and information given in Appendix 25/6. Every effort should be made to utilize the existing manholes to reline the culvert. If the existing manholes are of insufficient size to be used as draw pits to accommodate relining, the exiting manholes should be amended as opposed to the introduction of new manholes / draw pits. All costs associated with amendment of existing manhole chambers must accounted for in your tender sum. Drawing 1010 -01 records existing dimensions determined at site for the existing man holes albeit it is worthwhile the contractor visiting site to confirm dimensions prior tender submission should it be deemed necessary. The contractor will be responsible for the design of all temporary works, the design and construction of the lining solution and for any additional permanent works. The contract is NEC3 Contract. The tender process is in a single stage which is awarded based 100% on cost
