Abstract

BowlsWales is the Co-ordinating body for bowls in Wales. BowlsWales are responsible for promoting and encouraging the sport of Bowls; providing support to its Members; representing and protecting the interests of its Members; providing Bowls education, training and other services to all Members and to the general public. The contract is looking to commission an experienced consultant to conduct a comprehensive review of the sport of Bowls and its structure in Wales. The current structure, with BowlsWales operating as an independent entity alongside six National Governing Bodies (NGBs) and one ‘service organisation’ (representing umpires) has been in place since 2017. An independent consultancy was commissioned by Bowls Wales in May 2021 to conduct research and to provide guidance and recommendations about the parameters of a review of the sport through conducting in-depth interviews covering a range of areas with BowlsWales and NGBs representatives. This scoping review was conducted by Counsel LTD. A comprehensive report of findings and a set of recommendations is included in appendix A. We now wish to appoint a consultant who can undertake a comprehensive review of the sport of Bowls in Wales. Description of the goods or services required

BowlsWales is the Co-ordinating body for bowls in Wales. BowlsWales are responsible for promoting and encouraging the sport of Bowls; providing support to its Members; representing and protecting the interests of its Members; providing Bowls education, training and other services to all Members and to the general public.

The contract is looking to commission an experienced consultant to conduct a comprehensive review of the sport of Bowls and its structure in Wales.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

By submitting a tender you are acknowledging and agreeing in full to the following conditions:
