Abstract

The University requests tenders from sufficiently experienced and qualified Suppliers to establish a contract for the Supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of a 3 laser benchtop flow cytometer system and a 4 laser benchtop flow cytometer system. The university expect to be able to perform high speed (>50µl/min and >20,000 events/second) flow cytometry on a range of cell (e.g. human peripheral blood mononuclear cells, bacteria and yeast) and particle suspensions (e.g. polystyrene beads, extracellular vesicles) enabling the resolution of multiple fluorescent parameters on every cell/particle within a population of >500,000 events. The systems should be able to resolve 8+ parameters simultaneously with a well optimised staining panel and to analyse small particles demonstrated by resolving 200nm polystyrene beads from noise. The system should be capable of taking samples in tube or 96 well plate format, with data to be output in standardised FCS compliant files.
