Abstract

CSA Catapult would like to explore the capabilities of identifying and measuring individual photons of light. The main detector to be used is the superconducting nanowire single-photon detector (SNSPD).

Single photon detection is crucial for various quantum applications due to the fundamental nature of quantum mechanics and the unique properties of individual photons. CSA Catapult would like to explore this capability to support the development of quantum photonics integrated chips (QPICs) and provide testing services to customers, speeding up the development cycle for the entire quantum industry.
