Abstract

The council are now looking to commission a contract for the provision of start-up support

that targets Wolverhampton residents to engage and access skills that will provide them

with the right foundations to prepare, start and ensure the survival of their business. The

provision should support the increase of new enterprises - sole trader, micro business, small

and medium-sized enterprise, or large business and includes social enterprises.

In order to promote growth and productivity in the city, we are particularly keen for the

successful provider to encourage start-ups in growth sectors, e.g., tech, creative and digital

and those emerging markets such as the green economy.

This contract is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund
