Herefordshire has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier of residential children’s care to support the Council with its continuing journey to improving outcomes for our cared for children and young people (CLA) and in meeting its sufficiency duty. The Council is seeking a Supplier to work with us and to deliver care and support to our CLA aged 11-18 years who require residential care. We have a small but stable demand for such provision for children and young people who have a range of social and emotional needs born out of traumatic life experiences (ACE: adverse childhood experiences). For clarity, this service is not for children whom have a primary need of disability and/or ASD.
This service will deliver care and support for up to four children and young people within two houses ideally under joint management.
Properties will need to be sourced by the Supplier and developed in line with Herefordshire policies on sustainability. It is expected, that properties will be small family homes with good access to public transport, schools, colleges and community services.
