II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Over the past four years, DfE has tendered for the design and delivery of webinar training to school and academy trust business professionals in areas of School Resource Management (SRM). Over the past three years, this programme has reached over 9,900 professionals, across almost 20 modules. Another round of webinars has been procured for delivery in 2023-24, covering 7 modules on areas of SRM such as Integrated Curriculum & Financial Planning (ICFP) and procurement.
One area of feedback the Department has consistently received following the webinar programme is demand for more workshop style sessions. This has been requested so that professionals can use their own data during the training and work on a plan for next steps and future actions, helping the training to be as practical and useful as possible. Furthermore, professionals have told us that more interactive sessions with more real-life examples and case studies will help to deepen their understanding of areas of SRM.
This service aims to meet that need by tendering for a training provider, or organisation to oversee training providers, to provide in-person, practical training across key SRM areas at local events attended by school and trust business professionals. This will include development and delivery of training at network events, multi-academy trust staff training events, and roundtables organised by our School Commercial Team.
