II.2.4) Description of the procurement
This tender is for the Maintenance and repair of grounds maintenance and arboriculture equipment for Stafford Borough Council for a period of three years with an option to extend for a further two years.
It is intended that a single Provider will be awarded to provide the services required. In each category, Tenderers should where possible be able to maintain the full range of Goods.
SUMMARY OF THE SERVICE TO BE PROVIDED BY THE CONTRACTOR
1. Routine maintenance including inspections (annual overhaul)
2. Checking and rectification of all driver defect reports
3. Comprehensive repair work
4. Insurance and accident repair work
5. Institution of a Quality Assurance system
6. Lubrication
7. Supply of replacement parts and spares
8. Guaranteed maximum downtime
The Contractor shall carry out all routine servicing and all types of repairs including attending call outs and recovery of plant and equipment items from locations and transported to the Contractor's works or elsewhere with the agreement of the Authorised Officer. The scope of this service shall extend to all types of plant and equipment. A full list of the current plant and equipment held is set out in the Pricing schedule.
