Contract for The Provision of Research Consultancy Services – Northern Ireland Cohort for Longitudinal Study of Ageing (NICOLA) Wave 3 SurveySchool of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical SciencesNICOLA (Northern Ireland Cohort for Longitudinal Study of Ageing), Northern Ireland's largest public health research project, led by Queens University Belfast, aims to produce a substantial improvement in the quantity and quality of data, research and information relating to older people and ageing in Northern Ireland. The NICOLA study at the Centre for Public Health in Queen’s has secured funding to commence the thirdwave of this longitudinal ageing study.There are two previous waves of data collected by a Computer Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI) survey. The research is designed to follow Waves 1 and 2 of the NICOLA study and broadly harmonise with other longitudinal ageing surveys undertaken by Trinity College Dublin.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
NICOLA (Northern Ireland Cohort for Longitudinal Study of Ageing), Northern Irelands largest public health research project, led by Queens University Belfast, aims to produce a substantial improvement in the quantity and quality of data, research and information relating to older people and ageing in Northern Ireland. This wave will target a cohort of 6000 subjects to obtain information in relation to the experiences of ageing together, with a range of other dimensions of lifestyle, health and socio-economic circumstances.
