Abstract

This will be a housing related supported housing project for care experienced young people aged 16 to 18, of either gender, with no dependent children. It is a high intensity supported housing project, consisting of 5 units of supported accommodation which will be staffed 24 hours a day, with post move on floating housing related support for up to 6 months. The Young People’s Supported Housing Project will provide holistic, trauma-informed support to young people with care experience that are also experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or complex needs. The service will offer short and medium-term supported accommodation, empowering young people to build the skills, resilience, and confidence they need for sustainable independent living.Young people’s needs will be such that they require support at a staff to client ratio of 1:2.5, and will require the presence of sleep-in staff overnight, with the flexibility to increase staff ratios dependant on need which may include waking night staff.The contract value is estimated at £300,000 per annum at this time, confirmed contract dimensions will be provided in the tender specification.Details of a meet the buyer event for this contract are provided in the engagement section of this notice.

Scope

Procurement description

A meet the buyer event for this contract will taking place via Microsoft Teams at 2pm on 30/01/26 to give potential providers opportunity to learn more about the expectations of the contract and answer any queries. Separate engagement has taken place with young people who are currently living in similar supported housing projects, staff from the current providers and other stakeholders. Consultation was offered via questionnaire.
