II.1.4) Short description
Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board (SNEE ICB) has identified a number of areas as having limited dental access according to the population size and need. To support access SNEE ICB will be undertaking an open procurement in the near future. This notice is to make potential providers aware of this imminent opportunity and to promote two market engagement sessions.
The areas which would be available as opportunities within the procurement are as follows:
-Bury St Edmunds - UDAs available - 33,807
-Brandon - UDAs available - 14,744
-Eye and North West Suffolk - UDAs available - 21,942
-Saxmundham and North East Suffolk (including Leiston) - UDAs available - 29,165
Subject to the finalisation of discussions this procurement may also cover the following locality within North East Essex:
-Harwich - UDAs available - 10,329
The competitive process is expected to launch on Friday 23 January 2026, with a view to mobilisation of the new contracts from June 2026.
SNEE ICB will be hosting workshop sessions via MS Teams to confirm the vision for procurement of primary care dental services in the above areas and to provide guidance on responding to the tender. The sessions will be attended by SNEE ICB's procurement lead and members of the dental commissioning team and there will be an opportunity to ask questions.

This notice is being released under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR). The awarding of any contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.
The Authority may wish to introduce additional services during the lifetime of the contract ("Contract modifications"). Such contract modifications will be contemplated where additional requirements are similar and or complementary to the services already included in the contract, at any given time. Such expansion would be by the addition of services commissioned by the Authority as named in any Contract Notice. To this end, the Bidder should be aware that after the award of contract, there is a possibility that the successful Bidder may be offered a variation to the contract in accordance with the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
