Abstract

Monmouthshire County Council is seeking a suitably qualified consultant/consultant team to design, manufacture and install interpretation panels and signage for Mill Common, Undy. Mill Common woodland is located within the historic Gwent Levels Landscape of Outstanding Historic Interest. It is an integral woodland within Magor and Undy that has experiencing degradation due to insufficient management and absence of a strategic plan. The council has received grant funding to through the TWIG scheme to address the management challenges and bring the woodland into the Welsh National Forest. • This project aims to enhance the visitor experience by improving the availability of information on site, to raise awareness of the woodland wildlife within the context of a wider landscape, and to assist visitor orientation in relation to connections to off-site open spaces and countryside walks.
