Procurement description
Southern Water (SW) is seeking information from suppliers in relation to a potential procurement exercise. The information is not part of the procurement exercise, but your input will be critical in the development of the sourcing strategy and tender documentation.
Southern Water is responsible for providing, maintaining, and operating water supply and distribution services covering the counties of Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and providing services for the maintenance, repair, renewal, or improvement of services forming Southern Water’s water distribution systems.
Southern Water is seeking information on solutions for Alternative Water Supply and Incident Management to ensure continuity of service during clean water supply interruptions. In the event of an outage, whether planned or unplanned, Southern Water have a statutory obligation to provide customers with access to potable water through alternative means. We are exploring options that can help us respond quickly, maintain customer welfare, and meet regulatory requirements during such incidents.
Objective of this procurement: Supply goods and/or services to provide (or support) in a means of alternative water of an approved quality and quantity to, or made available to, affected customers within a defined response time. The service is to be available 24/7/365 across Southern Water’s operational areas (Kent, Sussex, Hampshire & Isle of Wight)
