Abstract
Newcastle City Council gives notice that, following a fully compliant Invitation to Tender process conducted in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations, a contract has been awarded for the provision of Fire Equipment Supplies and Services. The procurement sought a contractor capable of delivering annual servicing and inspection of fire safety equipment across Council premises, including portable fire equipment, extinguishers, hose reels (excluding those in the Civic Centre), and associated reporting, recharging, emergency response, and asset management requirements. The successful supplier demonstrated full compliance with the specification, including obligations relating to condemned equipment protocols, record keeping, monthly reporting, emergency call‑outs within 48 hours, and future legislative requirements surrounding the replacement of AFFF foam extinguishers.The tender was evaluated in line with the published criteria, and the successful bidder was identified as offering the most advantageous tender. 24 contract with options to extend of 12 months + 12 months.
