Abstract

City Lions is a youth enrichment programme aimed at young people between the ages of 13 – 16, predominately those from disadvantaged backgrounds, which has been running continuously since 2018. The City Lions programme focuses on developing young people's cultural capital, with all projects maintaining a creative emphasis.The provider must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the numerous barriers faced by young people and possess a strong commitment to improving access to the creative sector, building transferable skills, and broadening young people's horizons. Experience in forging strong and sustainable relationships with young people, schools, and cultural organisations is essential.Subcontracting any part of the contract is prohibited unless prior written approval is sought. Thus, a single-service provider is sought with extensive experience within youth work and delivering cultural enrichment projects to fulfil the Service Delivery of City Lions Core Projects in partnership with Westminster City Lions.
