Regional spokes are required to facilitate and coordinate more local support for the veteran to meet presenting needs and preferences. The contract would be to cover services across Scotland but will recognise the planned vision for NHS Scotland to move to a subnational structure, split into 2 regions.
We anticipate that the provider of the regional spoke would be required to collaborate with existing third sector and statutory providers of services to ensure that veterans can receive the tailored care and support they need from the most appropriate provider.
