PROPOSED REFURBISHMENT OF PART OF GROUND FLOOR
2 BRIDGE STREET, KIDWELLY
SCHEDULE OF ITEMS TO BE INCLUDED IN TENDER
3rd July 2013
MAIN ENTRANCE LOBBY:
• Repairs to entrance door and adjustment to entrance door step for level access. Replace top two panels of entrance door with glazed panels.
• Removal of existing vestibule double doors (to be placed in storage) and replaced with glazed fire door including door stop with glazed top and side panels.
• Redecoration.
• Renewal of floor coverings for barrier matting.
GENERAL OFFICE:
• Take down existing partition and reception area.
• Renew suspended ceiling for new suspended ceiling.
• Repair isolated areas of damaged wall plaster.
• Renew 2 doors including door stops for glazed fire doors.
• Redecoration.
• Renewal of floor coverings for carpet tiles.
INNER CORRIDOR:
• Renew 2 doors including door stops for glazed fire doors.
• Redecoration.
• Renewal of floor coverings for barrier matting.
TOWN CLERK’S OFFICE:
• Isolate services, take off, set aside and reinstall on completion of works.
• Take off and renew substandard wall finishes.
• Investigate and treat damp to external wall.
• Renew 1 door including door stops for glazed fire door.
• Take down and renew substandard ceiling finishes.
• Renew skirting and window boards.
• Redecoration.
• Renewal of floor coverings for carpet tiles.
BOTTOM OF STAIR WELL:
• Renew 1 No door including door stops for glazed fire door.
• Redecoration.
• Renewal of floor coverings for barrier matting at ground floor level only.
• Supply and install Emergency Evacuation Chair.
FORMER STAFF TOILETS:
• Isolate services and remove redundant fittings.
• Renew 1 No door including door stops for standard door.
• Supply and install suitable railing to both sides of steps.
PROPOSED DDA TOILET AND KITCHEN AREA:
• Isolate services and remove redundant fittings.
• Take down and cart away existing glazed partition and doors.
• Take off and renew substandard wall finishes.
• Take down and renew substandard ceiling finishes.
• Renew 1 No existing window for 2 new white UPVC windows; constructing a masonry pillar between to segregate the proposed toilet and kitchen.
• Construct new partitions.
• Redecorate.
• Renewal of floor coverings for Vinyl non slip sheeting with covered skirting.
• New Doc M sanitary fittings.
• Ceramic wall tiled splash backs.
• Supply and install new kitchen to the client’s specification.
• Connect new drainage from DDA toilet and kitchen to external below ground system.
• New Low Surface Temperature radiator to DDA toilet.
• Extend domestic hot and cold water to DDA toilet and kitchen.
• 2 new doors including linings for fire doors.
• Renew 1 door including door stops for standard door.
PROPOSED GROUND FLOOR MEETING ROOM:
• Take down existing partition.
• Remove suspended ceiling.
• Renew 2 doors including door stops for glazed fire doors.
• Redecoration.
• Renewal of floor coverings for carpet tiles.
EXTERNAL WORKS:
• Clear rear yard of over growth.
• Construct new concrete path.
• Create and opening in the brick wall backing on to the car park to facilitate an escape route.
• 1 new gate.
ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION:
• Renew lighting.
• Renew emergency lighting.
ASBESTOS REMOVAL:
• Undertake a ‘Renovation and Demolition Survey’ of the proposed work area as required by law.
• Any asbestos identified in report to be dealt with safely.
