Justification for the choice of accelerated procedure
The Association recently carried out a comprehensive acquisition strategy and as a result purchased an additional 42 units, concluding in June 2015. The Association appreciate that the accelerated restricted approach does reduce the days required as part of the tender process, however, efforts have been made to ensure that as full a time period as possible was provided to stage two of this tender process to enable organisations reaching stage two of this tender process, as much opportunity as possible, to complete a full and comprehensive tender document. We hope that this is evident in the timescales provided in this document. The timescales relating to the acquisition and the subsequent renewal of our insurance provision have made a non-accelerated approach unattainable.
