British Gas are the 'Managing Agent' on the Welsh Government's National Fuel Poverty Scheme, British Gas has recently been awarded an extension as 'Managing Agent' on the Welsh Assembly Government's National Fuel Poverty Scheme (NFPS) ref C225/09/10, until March 2017. British Gas have also secured an additional budget for the period April 2015 to March 2016. We are inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified contractors to undertake installation work on the following fuel types - Gas, LPG, Oil, Electric, Solid Fuel and Insulation Contractors.

We are inviting responses from both national and regional providers who can support this installation programme in the following areas in Wales:

- Swansea and West Wales

- Mid Wales

- North Wales

British Gas are looking to sub contract installation of the following enhanced improvements to heating systems these include:

• boiler only replacements;

• gas central heating systems;

• electric storage central heating systems;

• oil central heating systems (where replacing an existing oil system only);

• solid fuel central heating systems (where replacing an existing solid fuel system only);

• electric wet heating systems (where replacing an existing electric wet system only);

• liquefied petroleum gas systems (where replacing an existing liquefied petroleum gas system only);

British Gas are looking for sub contractors to support the following insulation requirements (including supply and fit of insulation materials):

(Standard improvements (compulsory) include:

• draught proofing;

• loft insulation and loft top ups;

• hot and cold water tank and pipe insulation; and

• cavity wall insulation.

Specifications and instructions for tenderers will be made available to those suppliers selected following evaluation of the PQQ process, via the Centrica approved e procurement (iasta) site. The PQQ will be available Friday 17th July 2015 from Andy Kingscott.

Volume approx 6,000 to 7,000 properties per annum. –
