Abstract

IT services: consulting, software development, internet and support. GAL is seeking to engage a supplier for the provision of hosting, management, maintenance and support services in respect of its SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. SAP provides financial and procurement systems to GAL as well as a Gatwick Data Warehouse for flight and retail data with a user base in excess of 370 individuals. It is expected that bidders will have suitable experience and expertise in relation to SAP as well as the ongoing capability to provide the following services:

— Application maintenance,

— Database administration,

— Middleware management,

— Fix development

— Enhancement development

— Reporting

— Testing in addition.

GAL requires hosting services including those relating to back-up and resilience as well as the provision of test and development environments to support the operation of a best-of-breed transport management strategy.

Application support is required 24 x 7 x 365.

Additional Information

The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender. Although the contracting entity does not regard itself bound by Directive 2004/17 or the Utilities Contract Regulations 2006, it has decided to place this advertisement in the OJEU on a voluntary basis. While the contracting entity is basing this tender process on the negotiated procedure provided for in the Regulations it does not regard itself as bound by that procedure and may depart from the procedure as provided for in the Regulations at any time.
