Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is looking to expand its range of services available through the provision of the following new facilities:
— Private Patient facility.
— Rehabilitation facility.
— Outpatient facility.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is looking to expand its range of services available through the provision of the following new facilities:
— Private Patient facility.
— Rehabilitation facility
— Outpatient facility
Expressions of interest are invited from third parties interested in providing one or all of the above facilities which are to be located on the East Surrey Hospital site.
Description of facilities
Private Patient Facility
This facility is expected to provide the full range of elective acute specialities, including inpatient, day case, outpatients and diagnostics. The unit will have an estimated 30 beds.
Rehabilitation Facility
The rehabilitation facility will allow patients to receive rehabilitation outside a normal acute hospital setting and thus will free-up inpatient beds within the main hospital setting. The unit will have an estimated 100 beds.
Outpatient Facility
The outpatient facility will allow the centralisation of outpatient services and will facilitate the latest ‘one-stop’ and similar services to be provided in one purpose-built setting. There are currently c 300,000 outpatients attendances per annum at East Surrey Hospital.
It is expected in all cases that the successful partner(s) will have extensive experience of providing similar facilities within the NHS or other comparable healthcare markets.
