Abstract

This procurement will be conducted by AGCSU on behalf of NHS England Specialised Commissioning. Any contract arising from this procurement will be between the successful Provider and NHS England (National Health Service Commissioning Board).

The successful Provider will be awarded the contract included within the tender documents.

The PET-CT Service Provider appointed as a result of this procurement will be responsible for delivery of the overall PET-CT Service in accordance with the Service Specification and Contract, however NHS England will mandate the supplier of PET-CT Standard Tracers for each Lot.

The PET-CT Standard Tracer Provider for each Lot will therefore be a nominated subcontractor to the PET-CT Service Provider for that Lot.

Selection of the PET-CT Standard Tracer supplier for each Lot will be the subject of a separate procurement.

The PET-CT Standard Tracers are:

— FDG (18F — fluorodeoxyglucose);

— FEC (18F — fluoro-ethyl-choline);

— FMC (18F — fluoro-methyl-choline); and

— NaF (18F — Sodium Fluoride).

Bidders must, as a minimum, submit proposals to deliver PET-CT Services utilising Standard Tracers. In addition Bidders may offer to provide PET-CT Services utilising Non-Standard Tracers.

The Contracting Authority intends to use the ‘Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU e-Procurement Portal’ in this procurement exercise.
