Abstract

The procurement of the Sludge Application management solution includes the provision of software and support of a new solution, where the successful service provider will be responsible for any minor configuration to their solution in order to meet the functional requirements outlined within the tender documents.

The service provider will be required to work with a Southern Water System Integrator, to implement the Sludge Application management solution into the Southern Water environment. The service provider will offer the System Integrator expertise on their proposed solution and ensure that any associated end-to-end testing is completed in a timely manner. The scope of this opportunity is to provide the current Sludge Application Management system. The Service Provider shall ensure the SAM solution enables Southern Water to easily and promptly compile all necessary reports which Southern Water is required to produce pursuant to Applicable Laws and Regulations, with respect to:

— Environment Agency,

— Farmers Notices.

The contract term for the Sludge Application Management solution will run for an initial term of 5 years, with the option to extend for a period, or periods of up to a further 3 years (8 years total).

Service Providers must note that SWS are seeking to contract with the proprietary software provider / owner as part of this tender opportunity, whereby the successful tenderer will have all rights in place to sell the Sludge Application Management solution software and licences directly to SWS, for the term of the contract. Service Providers must indicate their understanding of this bidding model within the PQQ, and confirm that they have the appropriate rights in which to do this, or contracts in place that would be required to meet this model at the time of submitting the PQQ, and for the duration of the contract term.

Southern Water may ask additional questions on the bidding model following PQQ submission to ensure that the tenderer has the correct rights required.
