Provision of a school catering service for 11 to 16 year olds at St Andrews CofE School in Croydon. This includes the supply of hot school lunches and morning break services on every school day of the year. Hospitality food services may also be required occasionally. The aim of the new catering service will be to improve the quality of meals offered, increase take up of school lunches by making them more attractive than a packed lunch option and to promote healthy eating.The appointment of successful tenderer will be made in order to ensure a new contract for catering is in place for the school from 1.9.2018. The contract is being offered for an initial period of 3 years with 2 possible extensions of 12 months each.There is a school catering kitchen and refectory onsite at the school. TUPE is expected to apply at the school, details of which can be found in the tender documentation.

St Andrew's CE School will incorporate a standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
