Abstract

To provide suitably qualified and experienced panel engineers to undertake inspections and supervisory visits, providing documents to include statements, reports and certificates, as required under the Reservoirs Act 1975.

Undertake flood, structural and stability studies, dam breach modelling and consequence assessments.

Undertake other site visits, desktop assessments and studies for the purposes of assessing the condition of structures at DCC reservoirs (including dams, towers, tunnels, spillways, accesses, walkways and pipes/valves inside the dam) and assessing maintenance requirements as part of feasibility studies to provide business cases for completing such services.

Provide cost estimates and programmes for schemes, providing schedules and plans.

Negotiate planning permissions, land entries and other licences as required to undertake scheme at reservoir sites.

Undertake environmental studies and impact assessments as required to undertake schemes at reservoir sites.

Provide outline and detailed designs, producing drawings, specifications, design reports, as constructed drawings supplied in AutoCAD format and tender documents as applicable for identified maintenance schemes at reservoir sites.

Undertake and supervise appropriate numerical and physical modelling to assist with the design stage of schemes.

Assist with tender evaluations for construction schemes at reservoir sites.

Provide site support and site supervision as required during construction stages for schemes at reservoir sites.

Attend progress meetings and teleconference calls and web-conferences, if convened by the employer.

Provide ad-hoc technical, specialist and expert advice on any reservoir safety matters.
