IV.1) Description
IV.1.1) Type of procedure
Award of a contract without prior publication of a call for competition
Justification for selected award procedure:
The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason: absence of competition for technical reasons
Explanation
We are upgrading an existing IT solution that needs to be expanded to meet increased capacity requirements with the College due to course expansion. From a performance perspective it is not prudent to upgrade the solution in isolation as there is interdependencies with the hardware and software which will need to be configured exactly the same to ensure a seamless working environment. As performance of the solution is of paramount importance to the College it would be impractical for 2 or more suppliers to underwrite the performance of the solution from a business and commercial perspective.
