The University of Bristol has a requirement for a custom photonic-integrated-circuit (PIC) capability that is optimised specifically for applications being carried out by the Quantum engineering technology laboratories (QET-Labs). The requirements that differentiate the requirements of QET-Labs from existing commercially available services are low loss waveguides, low loss inter-connections to fibre optics, and low power consumption passive tuning elements.
