These will be used in a purpose built laboratory in the centre for the characterisation of biological molecules, to further the enzyme research that we are conducting. 18-SJM-122 Isothermal titration calorimeter and a (ITC) Differintial scanning calorimeter (DSC) The University of Portsmouth has recently been awarded GBP 5.8 milllion in funding from the research england expanding excellence fund to set up the Centre for Enzyme Innovation (CEI). Coupled with significant investment by the University, this major funding will speed up our progress towards finding a solution to one of the world’s greatest environmental challenges — plastic waste. As part of our research in this field, we require an isothermal titration calorimeter and a differential scanning calorimeter. These will be used in a purpose built laboratory in the centre for the characterisation of biological molecules, to further the enzyme research that we are conducting.
