II.1.4) Short description

Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust (YAS) seeks to establish a framework agreement consisting of a range of patient-focused transport providers who are suitably qualified. The service shall be used mostly by the Patient Transport Service (PTS), for patients eligible for NHS funded transport who are unable to travel to their healthcare appointments by other means due to their medical condition. This also includes discharges, transfers, admissions and low acuity transport. The service shall also be required some of the time by the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) and 111 where transport is required to convey a patient to an Emergency Department within a thirty (30) or sixty (60) minute timeframe from the request for the journey.
