The University intends to replace lights with LEDs that do not have smart features as part of the modernisation of the Estate and work towards energy reduction targets. The technology offers cost saving opportunities for the University through maximising energy efficiency, self-testing emergency lighting and rooms occupancy profiling.It is envisioned that classrooms and central communal facilities will become the focus of smart lighting installations, but suitability will be evaluated on a project by project basis. The purpose of the tender is to identify a smart lighting manufacture(s) who will be used as our standard suppliers for the duration of the agreement. The lots are as follows:

Lot 1: Full IoT Controls (one supplier);

Lot 2: Cost Effective Smart Lighting (two suppliers).
