Wales and West Utilities Ltd (WWU), is a regulated gas distribution business with around 35 000 km of gas distribution pipelines located within Wales and the South West of England.The intention of this PIN is to inform WWU of the market options available regarding the supply of ~20 ‘all in one’ multifunction calibrators suitable for use in a Hazardous Zone 0 gas environment. WWU are looking to automate the calibration of its instrumentation assets via the use of multifunction calibrators which must integrate with SAP HANA ideally via the cloud. The units must have Highway Addressable Remote Transducer protocol (HART) and be able to store all asset information regarding the instruments. The units will need to source and measure the following and be suitable for use on Fiscal metering systems:
Pressure, temperature RTD/TC, level, flow, frequency, resistance, DC voltage, DC current Ma. The calibrators should also have the function to be able to carry out all relevant ATEX inspections.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
WWU are looking to purchase ~ 20 Multifunction Calibrators. As a minimum the calibrators must:
— be intrinsically safe, suitable for use in a hazardous Zone 0 area complete with ATEX certification;
— operate HART protocol;
— come with a calibration certificate traceable to a national standard;
— be rechargeable;
— have functionality to capture all instrument asset data;
— have the facility to record ATEX inspections;
— have the Function to add on external modules if different pressure ranges are required;
— have provision for a 0 to 140bar pneumatic pump;
— be able to fully integrate with SAP HANA.
The supplied calibrators must be capable of generating the following signals at the following ranges:
— resistance 0 to 1 KΩ,
— frequency 0 to 2 KHz,
— voltage 0 to 10 VDC,
— current 0 to 20 mA,
TC (mV) / RTD ±30 mV.
The supplied calibrators must be capable of measuring the following signals at the following ranges:
— resistance 0 to 1 KΩ,
— frequency 0 to 2 KHz,
— voltage 0 to 24 VDC,
— current 0 to 20 mA,
— TC (mV) ±30 mV.
Pressure a/g/d 0 to 200 Bar.
