Abstract

Monmouthshire County Council seeks to procure a specialist Destination Management System, comprising a fully responsive bilingual (English/ Welsh) website with integrated and intuitive content and data management systems and a separate Provider Extranet for partner businesses to update their own product data. We are looking for a solution from a supplier with a proven track record in the supply and ongoing investment and development of specialist destination management systems hosted on their own servers. Background Information – The existing Visit Monmouthshire DMS contract terminates on 30th November 2021 and a new specialist Destination Management System needs to be in place with all content and data migrated before then. Requirements - The specialist Destination Management System needs to include the following specific functionality: • Bilingual English / Welsh fully responsive website optimized for SEO & CRO • Intuitive and fully integrated content and data management systems • A separate Provider Extranet which allows partner businesses to update their own database entries • Auto translate to enable translation of content into non-Welsh / English target market languages • Digital asset management system • An ecommerce solution – ideally integrated with database entries for cross / up selling – or compatibility with an off the shelf e-commerce solution • Publishing of pdfs, video embeds / headers & multimedia digital assets • Geotagging of product data and display of product experiences on Google / hotspot maps • Universal search • GDPR compliant email marketing (including newsletter sign up) with automation • Supply of Crowdriff UGC license (core and advanced digital platform) and / or display of Crowdriff UGC galleries and single image embeds on dynamic content pages. • Specialist itinerary and walking route promotion • Dynamic widgets to feed database content (within specified parameters) onto third party websites • Performance monitoring of KPIs • HTML sitemap • Events calendar and functionality to allow third party event organizers to add their own events • Display of user reviews (TripAdvisor) on database entries • Virtual folders / vanity URLs • Integration / compatibility with the TXGB (Tourism Exchange Great Britain) platform to enable local businesses to promote and globally distribute bookable products.
