Abstract

Swansea University Medical School has received funding from the BBSRC Bioinformatics and Biological Resources Fund to create a 3D Neurosterol Atlas of Mouse Brain using mass spectrometry imaging technology. This Atlas will be based on the Allan Mouse Brain reference atlas, a full-colour, high-resolution anatomic reference atlas accompanied by a systematic, hierarchically organized taxonomy of mouse brain structures, which was updated in 2011 to enable interactive online exploration of the atlas. The project “A 3D Neurosterol Atlas of Mouse Brain” is underway with data to be generated in early August 2021. The project is funded by BBSRC (BB/T018542/1) with an end date of March 2023. The purpose of this document is to define the provision of services for the development of a mass spectrometry imaging based 3D Neurosterol Atlas of Mouse Brain. Tenderers should note that the Swansea University Medical School (SUMS) will be looking for ‘value for money’ and arrangements where service levels will not be compromised in a desire to achieve the ‘best prices’. Tenderers must be able to demonstrate design quality through examples of past work and experience. The SUMS is seeking to award a contract to commence as soon as possible in August 2021, which will initially run until the current project end date of March 2023.
