Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment

Description of the goods or services required

To carry out the complete process of developing a Gypsy/Traveller accommodation Assessment, including finalising it with and gaining Welsh Government approval on behalf of Wrexham County Borough Council.

Part 3 (s.101) Housing (Wales) Act 2104 places a duty on every Welsh Local Authority to carry out an assessment of the accommodation needs of Gypsies and Travellers within its administrative area. It also requires an assessment to be reviewed every 5 years.

Part 3 (s.102) Housing (Wales) Act 2014 places a further duty to prepare a report of the findings of this assessment and submit this to Welsh Government for ministerial approval.

It is estimated that the Assessment will involve surveying 31 households
