Abstract

Overview: As part of the Transport for Wales’ (TfW) Core Valley Lines (CVL) Project, Balfour Beatty Rail Ltd have been asked to submit a quotation for the installation of several concrete bases. Balfour Beatty Rail is seeking to engage the market for proposals which involve the construction of concrete bases for 6 modular substations, 6 DNO bases and a number of other bases as detailed, this will include installation of shuttering, supply of reinforcement, concrete and its placement. Programme: Please see dates below we would require the construction of the concrete bases: Abercynon - September/October 2021 Pontypridd - October/November 2021 Ninian Park - November/December 2021 Tonteg - January/February 2022 Cardiff Queen Street - March/April 2022 Taff’s Well - March/April 2022 Tender Documents: Suppliers who express an interest shall be subject to meeting Balfour Beatty Rail’s pre-qualification criteria for this package of works. Documents shall be issued to those who qualify via Balfour Beatty’s tendering portal ‘Jaggaer’. Access to the Jaggaer portal will be provided after the ITT letters have been released. Responses, including any tender queries, shall be via the Jaggaer portal only. Tender responses will be evaluated based on best value against the criteria set for the commercial and technical envelopes in Jaggaer. Minimum Pre-qualification Requirements: Constructionline - gold membership. Dun & Bradstreet credit check - maximum overall financial risk rating of ‘moderate’.
