Abstract

The Welsh Government wishes to commission a study to consider the feasibility of linking the data held by Careers Wales to other administrative datasets, outside of the linking that is already taking place using the Secure Anonymised Information Linkage databank (SAIL), including consideration of the risks and benefits of matching this data across datasets. It is envisaged that the findings from this work will inform strategic planning, policy development and decision making. Specifically for any future proposals for the development of a data intelligence hub The findings from this study would also provide evidence to report on the employability plan from a purely administrative data perspective. Outputs from this work will provide evidence to Careers Wales about the feasibility of measuring the impact of their services, and facilitate understanding of areas for Improvement of provision in the future.
