BERWYN - the works referred to as ‘Berwyn’ below are for a 1,750ha (4,325ac) area of the Berwyn located above Corwen in Denbighshire. More than 70% of the moor is dry heath, approximately 15% is blanket bog, the remainder is made up of areas of bracken, flush, scrub, wet heath, acid grassland, and semi-improved acid grassland. The area has the following designations:

- Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI)

- Special Area of Conservation (SAC)

- Special Protection Area (SPA)

- Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB)

- Three Bronze Age Cairns, Post-Medieval House and Quarry

APPOINTING - we are reliant on the continuation of the scheme/project and is some instances appropriate permissions for the planned works to go-ahead. Appropriate stakeholders and permitting bodies have been approached and are broadly in support of the project and so we hope to gain permissions without issue where this is necessary.
