Abstract

University Hospitals Birmingham is one of the leading NHS trusts in the UK, serving a regional, national, and international population. With multiple sites including, Birmingham Chest Clinic, Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, and Solihull Hospital, more than 2.2 million patients are seen and treated at UHB every year.<br/><br/>The Trust is committed to investing in the development, health and wellbeing. The Trust’s vision, ‘to build healthier lives’ for our patients, their families and our colleagues, is underpinned by its values: kind, connected and bold. The Trust aims to create an inclusive, inspiring and equal environment for staff and service users.<br/><br/>The programme should look to develop band 8A and band 7 Nurses, AHPs and Midwives of the future from all areas and will be aimed at those whose primary function is leading services or teams. It should provide them with the opportunity to learn more skills, tools and techniques, enabling them to apply and use these directly in their roles as band 8A and band 7 leaders.
