St Albans City and District Council is looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to carry out construction of 14 units of social housing at the King Offa and Norman Close site, Wallingford Walk, St AlbansThe services comprise; review and completion of the groundworks and drainage works that were commenced onsite, construction of 14 units.Further details, including plans and a site investigations, can be found in the tender documents available for download from Supply Hertfordshire, https://in-tendhost.co.uk/supplyhertfordshire, the Council's electronic tendering portal. II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Council wishes to appoint a suitably qualified principal Contractor to undertake the provision of main construction services at King Offa and Norman Close, Wallingford Walk, St Albans AL1 2PL. Previously, the site consisted of a Public House and ten units of temporary accommodation. The redevelopment will deliver a scheme of fourteen (14) social housing units (13x two and three bed houses and 1x accessible bungalow). The scheme is intended as an exemplar of offsite, timber frame construction, to be delivered by Donaldson Timber Engineering.
