The Authority has a requirement for the provision for the shipment of waste and recyclable materials from facilities on Orkney Mainland to various locations in Scotland.
The contractor will be required to provide articulated trailers for loading of 'waste materials for recycling' in baled, bagged, palletised or loose format by the Authority. These materials will be loaded by the Authority at its facilities, located with 6 miles of Kirkwall on the Orkney Mainland.
The contractor will subsequently transfer full trailers for disposal or recycling to facilities designated by the Authority to Scotland.

undertaken by bidders prior to the award of any Contract is accordingly a matter solely for the commercial judgement of bidders.
Late tenders will not be considered by the Council and all questions are to be submitted via the Questions and Answers section of this
contract advertisement on PCS.
An economic operator that suffers, or risks suffering, loss or damage attributable to a breach of duty under the Public Contracts (Scotland)
Regulations 2015 may bring proceedings in the Sheriff Court or Court of Session.
