Abstract

This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is in relation to the second-generation framework for engineering and technical consultancy services. This PIN advises the market of Scotland Excel’s intention to issue a new tender for these services, following the abandonment of a prior process. The new tender will be advertised by publication of a future Contract Notice.

The scope of services will primarily relate to civil engineering and other associated disciplines including: Road s and Structures, Transportation and Traffic, Environmental, Land surveying, Drainage and Flooding, Geoenvironmental and Geotechnical, Coastal and Maritime Structures, Master Planning and Project and Commercial Management.

This Prior Information Notice is to inform economic operators that Scotland Excel intends to publish a new tender opportunity in respect of the second generation framework for Engineering and Consultancy Services, Schedule Ref (1025) through the publication of a future Contract Notice.

Economic operators should note that the new tender will differ from the tender process which was previously abandoned. The tender documents to be published for the new tender process shall detail the requirements and processes applicable to the new process, in a clear and transparent manner.

Scotland Excel acts as a central purchasing body and will publish the tender for and on behalf of all 32 local authorities in Scotland, together with any Integration Authority, or other body, established pursuant to the Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act 2014.
