Supply and install of a double underground duct cable system to accommodate a fully ducted 25kV cable double circuit system from SGT3B and SGT4B at Glenrothes 275kV substation to the new Network Rail 25kV Feeder Station feeder station at Thornton North. The route length will be approx. 10.5km.
Installation, testing and pre-commissioning of single core 25kV 400mm2 Cu XLPE underground cables.
Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) works across the river Leven.
Provision of suitable backfill materials, ad-hoc concrete works, cable protection tiles, cable, warning tapes and temporary surface position markers for joint bay locations.
Excavation works including their backfilling and permanent reinstatements.
Cleaning of the cable duct along each section of the route to ensure installation of the cables.
Provision as required, of all joint bays, cable draw pits, link box chambers, FO chambers and termination chambers for power and fibre-optic cables and accessories.
