The University of Strathclyde is a large Higher Education establishment located in the centre of Glasgow. The University is seeking a Travel Management partner to provide a full suite of Travel Management services to cater for the wide, varied, and diverse travel requirements that this large University. The partner shall be required to deliver a cost-effective and responsive full Business Travel Management Services that supports traveller safety and wellbeing, maximises environmental/low carbon awareness, provides value for money.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The University of Strathclyde is a large Higher Education establishment located in the centre of Glasgow. The University has an approximate student population of nearly 25,000, from over 100 countries and has a staff of around 4,000 across four faculties and professional service departments.
The University is an international institution with academic collaborations around the world. As such, The University staff and Students undertake a significant amount of domestic and foreign travel in the course of their work and studies. Travel is extremely diverse and covers all areas of the world for varying durations.
The University requires a partner that will deliver a cost-effective and responsive full Business Travel Management Services that supports traveller safety and wellbeing, maximises environmental/low carbon awareness, provides value for money by having access to the best airline and hotel pricing, and delivers a timely, up-to-date, user-friendly service. The provision of a dedicated Travel Account Management and administration team is essential.
The Supplier will provide a fully managed service for all UK and International travel and associated services. The University will be able to research and book using an online tool and/or via offline booking channels using a traditional call centre/agent type operation (on the lowest cost non-Premium Line telephone number). This will cover UK and International Air, and Hotel services; Ferry services; Eurostar; International Vehicle Hire; Visa services and relevant professional advice to all clients.
The supplier will also provide a Student Group Travel Services covering UK and International Air, Rail and Hotel / Hostel services; Ferry services; Eurostar; International Vehicle Hire; Group Travel services: and relevant professional advice to The University for student group travel.

This notice is serving as market engagement to support the University's procurement strategy for the provision of the titled services. The route to market may be subject to revision as the procurement strategy is finalised.
