Abstract
The provision of Manual Handling & Basic Life Safety training to all University Placement Students, in accordance with NHS Guidelines. This includes all induction training, annual, or bi-annual refresher training, for all University Students, due to attend a placement within an NHS or Social Care setting. Training dates to be agreed with the successful supplier, with planned sessions occurring throughout the academic year. All training is to be delivered on-site, and will involve practical sessions (including training on the use of manual handling aids, and basic life safety equipment).

Procurement description

Description of extensions
A 3 year contract, with annual performance reviews. Subject to satisfactory performance, the University may exercise the option to extend the agreement by a further 2 years.

Where necessary, the University reserves the right to source additional training services from the successful supplier.
Participation
Conditions of participation
A minimum credit score of 50 out of 100 on Creditsafe.
Where this cannot be met, the University will complete a full Economic and Financial Standing Risk Assessment, the details of which are attached to this question within the tender portal (both the Guidance document, and the risk assessment document)

Suppliers must obtain the following qualifications (or equivalent) in order to be awarded the contract:
Manual Handling
· National Back Exchange Member
Basic Life Safety
· CSTF Basic Life Safety Standard
· Resuscitation Council UK Accredited
Breakaway Training
· BILD Certificate
This is to ensure compatibility with NHS Trust's minimum standards for providing this training.
Where a supplier can meet these conditions (either with evidenced equivalent qualifications, or because they hold all accreditations above) then they will not be disregarded from this process.
Where a supplier cannot meet these conditions, and cannot evidence an appropriate equivalent qualification, then their tender submission shall be deemed to have not met the condition of participation, and will be disregarded from the process.
